What is STeam?
The ASUC Sustainability Team (STeam) is an ASUC-sponsored organization at UC Berkeley aimed at making the campus more sustainable. We accomplish this through the creation of and participation in project groups. Each project group is focused on a specific issue area related to campus sustainability.
The club is open to all UC Berkeley students and everyone is invited to our events! We welcome all from the most passionate environmentalist to students simply looking to apply their skills and creativity to making the campus greener. If you want sustainable change on our campus, STeam is the place for you!

What are our goals?
Create and implement projects that address campus environmental problems, establish sustainable practices on campus, and raise sustainability awareness to students, faculty, and staff
Provide students with the training and tools necessary to effectively advocate for sustainability and environmental justice and give them the experience required to succeed in future leadership roles
Serve as a liaison between students and the ASUC, GA, administration, faculty, staff, and Berkeley community; facilitate effective networking between all environmental entities on campus
What are our different project groups?
Our current list of project groups includes: Internal Department of Sustainability, STeam Energy Group, One-Side Clean (OSC), Students Toward Zero Plastic (STOP), Berkeley FLOW, I Will Ride, and Fossil Free Cal.
This list is still growing! STeam gives its members the support and resources they need to start new project groups when new ways to improve campus sustainability arise. This semester, STeam, in addition to project groups, will compile a list of sustainable improvements needed on campus to help us reach our goal of Zero Waste by 2020.
